Introduction - my truck is on order!

I have been lurking and actually posted a couple times. But I realized I didn't introduce myself.

I placed an order on 4th of July for a 2024 Lariat EcoBoost Tremor in shadow black with the only addition being the dealer installed entry keypad. I heard to be careful about adding accessories as it can delay delivery if they are factory installed options. The main thing I'll be adding is a tonneau cover as one of my first mods.

I have a 2013 C-MAX hybrid that this vehicle will replace. The C-MAX has been great especially for fuel economy and utility. As a replacement I wanted a truck that could be all weather for long trips including light off roading. So that ruled out the hybrid version of the Maverick.

Anyway, I'll continue to lurk and learn in preparation for delivery. I have no idea how long it will take and haven't received any emails since the order was placed.

BTW, when my neighbor learned that I was getting one he was instantly jealous as he has been wanting one.

On my order sheet there is an Order code that is 4 characters long and a priority code 03. Does anyone know what the different priority codes are?

If you know you want one I would order sooner rather than later because who knows when they cut off orders for 2024 model. I was able to order it exactly what i wanted and color is important to me as if is apparently for you.

The "lower" the priority code it, the "higher" the priority of the order this. These are all relative to your dealership's other orders. For retail orders, 03 is the "highest" priority that a dealer can assign. Ford will sometimes move orders to 02 or 01 for various reasons.


Your dealership still needs allocation, but if they do have allocation for a Maverick, your order (and any other 03 order they have in the system) will be considered for scheduling first.

None of your options are constrained..... Ford is wanting to build Lariat EBs.... so as long as your dealer has allocation, I think that you'll be scheduled quickly!

Should I try and buy this one or wait for my order confirmation/delivery? Here is the picture they have of the vehicle, and they have the VIN and Windows sticker available to view.

@RickG sure wouldn't hurt to try. Three things could happen:
1) They tell you it is already sold, because it was someone else's custom order.
2) They try to add Additional Dealer Mark Ups to get more money out of you.
3) You're able to work a deal with them and start enjoying your Maverick that much sooner.

You can tell if this vehicle has been ordered by someone by the color of the window sticker. Green window sticker is an order by a specific customer. Blue is dealer stock.
Just because the sticker is green doesn't mean its unavailable though, sometimes people back out of their order.
