I'm with you there on fuel economy, Broncovet.
I will be replacing a 1996 Dodge Ram 2500 truck - and its 6.5 mpg fuel usage. And any day now it will need new tires (current ones dated 2007!). Just got to keep it chugging along a bit longer.
Ooh, Hot Runr Guy, 28.5" is sounding more manageable. Could the height difference be due to the type of wheels/tires?
Thanks for taking the time to measure.
Thank you so much for that suggestion, mepot101.
Definitely going to have to check out that idea for the Maverick. I suppose the Maverick doesn't already come with a tow hitch?
I'd thought of it before but not having a back-up camera on either the Dodge Maxivan or the Volvo wagon has...

Just now reading this message, and a flash of worry is running across my brain.
Should I be hastening to the dealer Monday morning and ordering my new truck?
Am I in that magical window of opportunity where I can get the ball rolling and actually start thinking that one day soon I might have...
No worries, Kev. I'll solve your problem - I'll buy that Maverick from you.
(It couldn't be worse than my '01 and '05 Volvo XC wagons with their hail damage and their weird sporadic electrical/computer problems. As I always say - good luck to anyone who thinks they might want to steal either...
Thanks for all the Maverick ordering discussions here. I started being interested some years ago (2020? 2021?) when they were first being offered, and was tickled that the dealer said that I might be able to get a 2023 model. Later, at the other times I inquired, the order books were closed...
