  1. Maverick August 2024 Sales & Production: 10,269 Sold / 15,619 Produced

I'm with you there on fuel economy, Broncovet. I will be replacing a 1996 Dodge Ram 2500 truck - and its 6.5 mpg fuel usage. And any day now it will need new tires (current ones dated 2007!). Just got to keep it chugging along a bit longer.

Thank you for sharing this very interesting information.
  3. Harbor freight tailgate step ladder...

I didn't know such things existed. For years I've just got in and out of our (Dodge) truck bed by climbing up/down a rear wheel.
  4. Technical help needed: accessibility of truck bed/open tailgate

Ooh, Hot Runr Guy, 28.5" is sounding more manageable. Could the height difference be due to the type of wheels/tires? Thanks for taking the time to measure.
  5. Technical help needed: accessibility of truck bed/open tailgate

Thank you so much for that suggestion, mepot101. Definitely going to have to check out that idea for the Maverick. I suppose the Maverick doesn't already come with a tow hitch? I'd thought of it before but not having a back-up camera on either the Dodge Maxivan or the Volvo wagon has...
  6. Technical help needed: accessibility of truck bed/open tailgate

Euww - - equivalent Volvo XC wagon distance - 23" with incline up to 23.5", - equivalent Dodge Ram Maxivan distance - 26.5" (I handle that height OK too), - wheelbase of Golden LiteRider electric scooter - 33" long, so I'd need something sturdy to elevate the rear wheels to create a manageable...
  7. How accessible is the bed/open tailgate of the 2024 or 2025 Maverick?

A technical question - how high off the ground is the bed of the truck/the open tailgate? I ask because in my current Volvo XC70 station wagon I tote around my husband's electric mobility scooter, and I would need fairly easy loading/unloading access in a Maverick truck - if I bought a...

  9. Introduction - my truck is on order!

Just now reading this message, and a flash of worry is running across my brain. Should I be hastening to the dealer Monday morning and ordering my new truck? Am I in that magical window of opportunity where I can get the ball rolling and actually start thinking that one day soon I might have...
  10. 2025 Hybrid AWD Maverick spied photos confirmation! 📸

I live in Colorado - I need it. (I've driven AWD Volvo wagons for years)
  11. When Can I Order a 2025 Maverick?

Darn! That's what I was afraid of, from when I first started researching Mavericks. "Thanks David", she says sadly.
  12. Thinking about giving up

No worries, Kev. I'll solve your problem - I'll buy that Maverick from you. (It couldn't be worse than my '01 and '05 Volvo XC wagons with their hail damage and their weird sporadic electrical/computer problems. As I always say - good luck to anyone who thinks they might want to steal either...
  13. Thinking about giving up

Scott: As my father-in-law used to say: There are old pilots and bold pilots, but no old, bold pilots.
  14. When Can I Order a 2025 Maverick?

Thanks for all the Maverick ordering discussions here. I started being interested some years ago (2020? 2021?) when they were first being offered, and was tickled that the dealer said that I might be able to get a 2023 model. Later, at the other times I inquired, the order books were closed...
