@HeyBales and @MaverickDragon thanks for the additional info. Very interesting. I didn’t realize your search was based on the 25 MY.

App knows about your year/model/trim - if the manual is clear about differences anyway.

But interesting point - could you ask the AI about a different model year and trim and get correct info.

Like - when does the 2023 hybrid engage the AWD?

The app knows about my MY and trim, so it's for a 25 XL.

As far as the AC settings, it appears that the AUTO mode, AC and fan all need to be off for the system not to turn on the climate control on start up. In my case, that prevents the auto AC so that's now part of my shutdown procedure, because it seems that even if the AC is off, the system may turn it on if it is humid, but since it remembers the fan setting, when off the AC doesn't turn on.

As far as the rear seat, the vehicle issues a warning to me when heavy enough weight is in the back seat, so I needed to hook up the rear seat belts to stop the ongoing warning chime while loaded.

The procedure to turn off the chime works, but the result is a bit confusing.
The initial seat belt chime on startup still goes on and notes a warning, but it terminates in half the time, and does not continue when the vehicle is driven, so it's not a total cancellation of the feature. That was not explicated by the bot, nor the manual apparently.

Edit: just asked the bot - The disable feature only turns off the CONTINUOUS seatbelt reminder, but the initial dash note and chime are still active, so it works as intended.
So far the bot seems to be correct even though the Maverick features have nuances.

My sister has a 25 lariat hybrid and the rear seatbelt warning stuff is a pain. Even when someone is sitting on in side the center seat belt nanny goes off continuously 8 times out of 10.

Always use Seatbelts but all those nagging seatbelt warnings can be turned off in FORScan. Here's how:
1- Use IPC As Built, not Easy Mode.
2- Change ALL dights to '0' in the four locations 720-13-01, 720-13-02, 720-14-01, and 720-14-02.
3- Save your changes, and Seatbelt warnings are gone.
NOTE: As always Save your As built before modifying just in case.

I placed a box of Kleenex in the middle seat, which triggered the seatbelt warning a day or two later. (No idea why it took a couple of days before it went off.) I fastened the middle seat belt to remediate the problem. No bot required, just critical thinking skills.
