So I finally got my Maverick built and hopefully will arrive at my dealership in about a month. I talked to my salesman today about the interest rates and he told me unfortunately I would have to deal with the current rates. I thought I saw people talking about the rates being locked in at the time of purchase, can anyone chime in on this? Thanks!

He's uninformed. I think there is something they check in SmartVincent that populates the rates at the time of purchase.

"subvened" interest rates (i.e. special low rates like 0% or 1.9%) should be protected to those in effect @ order date. But "standard rates" are not protected.

If you send me your VIN and ZIP I can quickly check if any rates are protected for you.

It probably depends on the dealership.... in some, the salesmen may not deal much w/that end of things? The sales manager/finance manager only would?

Either that or they are trying to make him finance in a way that is beneficial to the dealership and not the customer.

I just got mine on Wednesday and my Dealer (Mike Jones Ford in Toccoa GA) gave me both the price and interest rate from when i ordered in October. We got 1.9%. My dealer was awesome by the way!

In Canada I was told my price and rate were protected - still kind of sucks because rates for new cars have jumped up to 3.49% last year for 60m and are now currently 4.49%
used cars are going for 7-8% at the dealer which is ridiculous

i’ve heard of ford locking in the incentive rates for people when they ordered or the dealer honoring the special offers.. i am going through my bank and getting screwed on it bc they raised the rate i’ll get from 2.55% to 6% on July 1st.. tough time to wait this long for my truck w the rates increasing at banks

Whatever the incentive or special offer at time of order should have been locked in by dealer. Otherwise, why would anybody order a vehicle if the dealer or Ford isn't going to honor their offers on delivery of the vehicle?
