I'll let you know in Dec. when I get my truck, but I don't think it will be much different that what I am paying now for my car.Anyone over 75? What are you paying to insure your Maverick? Thanks
Over 78, called agent couple months ago ago and was told was within $25/yr of what my 2018 Frontier crew cab sv costs. MSRP of which was about $2k more than maverick. However at the time my frontier policy was in it's 9th month so probably annual policy rates may have entered into difference. It will depend on several things due to your coverage choices. I carry elevated coverage somewhat cheap for coverage that probably will never happen. I live in fear of things like kid on skateboard zips in front of me and I am forced to swerve, hitting three cars on way to gas pump. Very unlikely but the lottery can and does happen. Also am mentally preparing for (at 82-85?) finding young 65 yr old whippersnapper driver paying for him/her with $$$ saved by no car and all it's expenses. Can pay $$$$ with savings and what I get from selling cars.I'll let you know in Dec. when I get my truck, but I don't think it will be much different that what I am paying now for my car.

will they charge more for sudden breaking? can these mile readers be used to deny us a claim if they don’t like what they see on them?Allstate now has the Milewise OBDII adapter available for all Mavericks (including Hybrids) which allows for the use of pay-per-mile rates instead of a flat rate unlimited mile rate on the milewise program.
https://milewise.allstate.com
For those who drive infrequent or lower mileage yearly the savings on pay-per-mile programs can get savings of 35% or more.
My old rate on 4/01/22 was $2.01 per day unlimited mileage
New rate is $0.88 per day and 3.7c per mile
Being retired I only drive 4000 miles annually so having the pay-per-mile option available is saving me $132.79 every six months or 36% off the $367.83 unlimited mile rate.
These are for a six month policy
$367.83 = 183 days * $2.01 per day
$367.83 total for unlimited milewise
$161.04 = 183 days * $0.88 per day +
$74.00 = 2000 miles * $0.037 per mile
$235.04 total for pay-per-mile milewise
My policy coverage is shown below.

No they cannot deny a claim because of sudden braking. That is like asking can they deny a claim because you forgot to brake. In the event of an accident "sudden braking" is a good thing as it lessens the impact force.will they charge more for sudden braking? can these mile readers be used to deny us a claim if they don’t like what they see on them?
oh interesting. so they charge more for night driving? i can’t say i do that very often. No they cannot deny a claim because of sudden braking. We have been on the milewise program for about three years now and we have had a few "sudden braking" events but have never seen any adverse effect in either renewing coverage or rates increasing because of them.
Now if you are always slamming on the brakes, constantly speeding 80+ MPH or driving after 10 PM regularly then this program is not for you.
Again we have had a few "sudden braking" events (0-3 per month), a few 80+ MPH speed events (lasting less than 2/10's of a mile when passing) and a couple of after 10 PM drives (coming back from the Casino) and have not had any issues in either renewing coverage or rates increasing because of them.
Note that they track "late night driving" along with "sudden braking" and "80+ MPH speed" events.oh interesting. so they charge more for night driving? i can’t say i do that very often.

I'm 84, I live in Florida, have a clean record, drive around 3500 miles a year, own a Hybrid Lariat, and pay $814 for 6 months with Pogressive for full coverage. (you don't need uninsured motorist coverage) at your age. I just checked my policy, $814 was the cost to cover both cars! $422 was for 6 month cost for the Maverick.Anyone over 75? What are you paying to insure your Maverick? Thanks
