I ordered mine without the slider to get as much visual space as possible. Notice in this picture of Tim Bartz of Long McArthur Ford that the top and bottom horizonal black bars are gone when no slider is selected. Without the slider you get the most vertical space and a rear window clear of obstructions.

The great rear visibility is a reason that I might consider for removing it in the Lariat that I have on order.

So I looked up the price difference for window replacement from Safelite.
Regular window was $350
manual slider was $950
electric slider was $1150

That would probably be easy to do. Head down to or call your local Ford dealer and ask for the parts department. Once connected tell them you need replacement glass for a 2022 Maverick with no rear window. If they ask for a PN just say you don't have it if they ask for a VIN just tell them you don't have it.

They should be able to give you the price for the single piece of glass then just ask how much for installation.
Not worth the price and headache

maybe one day

I know they would have to replace the entire glass to put a rear window in but do people do that?

I have never been a fan of the one that comes in the maverick.
Aftermarket rear window available… I thin ink it something live BREEZEWINDOW. Or close to that. I looked yesterday and it’s pricey but looked good. $500-690

I’d like to replace my slider with solid glass
i'm not particular either way on my little pony. i doubt i would ever open it! it's not like the old mini trucks that we would reach right over our shoulder to open the latch and slide it.....
let me know if you find a glass guy and what he would charge.

Just curious where would someone put the rear window if they decided to pop it out? Just leave it in the garage and have an open window the whole time?

I thought it was so small I passed on it. Then saw some pics taken from inside, and it appeared to be a lot larger. Thought the manual slider might be larger than the power slider given that inside view. Changed the order.
I think it is as small as it appears as viewed from the bed. Tiny. Too late now.
On my old Ranger, I replaced the rear window glass with a slider from an auto parts store. Just takes some string routed into the gasket to make it 'flip' and go over the new glass when installing. It was not difficult, but was a bit scary removing the original sheet of glass.

My ‘97 ranger, which was a base model, had a huge slider, rarely used it.
