Picked up my Snug Top on Friday and installed the Yakima racks today. This is my take away so far. The shell looks amazing. Both my wife and daughter said the installed shell made it look more like a real truck. They are used to a Dodge 1500 4x4 with a 3" lift. I agree. However, the window that partners the Maverick back window is exactly not that. It is too small and doesn't align. See pics. The tailgate window looks good when closed, but when you open it you hardly get your head through. See pics. I feel Snug Top focused on the over all look and spent little to no time testing it out. I hope for you future shell buyers, that another brand takes action. Also, they are way over priced at 3400. (I was also charged $8 for a bottle of beer last night)WTF. I got a deal at 2900, but heard some are being quoted 4500. Again WTF. Over all, I love the truck and got the shell for my dog. He hates it, he much prefers the open air rides to the beach.

a front window slider would seem to be a no brainer

Thanks for the info. Not sure if I want/need a shell. Guess it depends upon what the use of the Mav actually is. How much does it weigh? Your best friend looks like he likes it.

This the first I have seen of racks on a SnugTop. Interesting. Yeah I havent ordered a cap yet from anyone as I dont yet have a Maverick. I got a quite for a cap that I liked from Ranch. It was mid rise, had rails and racks, fold down front window slider and fold up side window sliders. They quoted around $3500 however it no longer shows on their website.

Hey sir for that Snugtop - how did you score $2900? I see them for about 3200 shipped. Also, is this your Yakima setup? What size round bars did you go with? Snugtop seems good, but I'm wondering if I should wait for something a bit better designed. Thanks in advance!

I think the white on white is the best look I've seen for this topper. I got rung up $3,800... do you use the rack for your boards? I think it may be a better solution to leave the shell open and strap the boards in so they stick out.
