Infotainment Software Version on XLT?

I have a 2024 XLT.

What version of the Infotainment comes in the XLT models. I assume it's not the Sync software.

What is the latest version of this software in the XLT? Also...how often do they update the infotainment software?

Is there anywhere to find latest version released and what updates or fixes are in it?

Go to FORD.COM and log in / sign up for an account, put in your VIN # and it should tell you if you have an Software update.

Ford.com will tell you if you have an update for Sync 3 on a Lariat but as far as I know no information for the base XL\XLT infotainment. That being said many have called it Sync 2.5 with very little infomation provided directly from Ford outside of being referred to as just Sync. Updates seem to be random but since owning my Maverick appear to be semi annual.

There will usually be a post by a fellow member when a new firmware is available for Sync and Sync 3 systems in the forum linked above. Can't recall the exact firmware version at the moment but last update I installed was in Sept. version MB3T-14G516-MJ_16848 as found in this thread

Not sure about finding what the updates do, but you can check for available updates in the Settings section of the Infotainment system.

The last update that was pushed over wireless to non-Sync units was back in September, so you probably already have it. It was G2.2.2.0.1

They don't come out very often. I think there were only two updates in all of 2023. Mine was built in April and it had the update that was release early in the year so mine has only updated once since it was built.

It only works for vehicles with full sync (3/4), not on the base system in the XL or XLT. Only over the air updates in the truck work on the XL and XLT.

I’ve finally done it!!!!! After a hard reset and multiple tries both in WiFi and hotspot the update it currently installing!!! I’ve been out here for about 40 min in 89F heat. It sat at 100% for about 3-4 mins after downloading. Just when I was about to restart the truck it started installing. I’m at 75% right now. Trying not to stare at it. lol

Went from 1.0.1 to 2.0.1
