I've had very good luck using bass blockers when doing a stock upgrade. Front doors I would crossover at 100-150hz. You can safely play them much louder when the doors aren't trying to reproduce low bass.

I definitely agree as they can bog down a bit without being amped but I wanted to wait until spring when I add a powered sub. It’s actually much easier than expected to take off the door panels so eventually I might add the blockers and some sound proofing. I was mostly wanting the highs and clarity thinking long term and these are excellent.
