I think my MY25 SYNC is haunted

Without changing any settings on my phone or truck I get randomly different things on my big screen. Sometimes the navigation map (mostly happens with Google Maps, seldom with Waze) is full-screen. Sometimes the map is maybe 2/3 with YouTube Music the other 1/3. I have *NEVER* used YouTube music in the truck. I have only ever used SIriusXM. The other 1/3 *used* to be SiriusXM but it vanished, replaced with YTM.

My plan is to use YTM when the XM free trial runs out.

What I'm wondering is why the screen is randomly one way or another? Every time I start the truck I never know which config I'm going to get.

Since I do not change the music source, I'd like the screen to be all map. Always.

Is there a way to do that that is persistent?

You just hit the map icon on the left. It automatically comes up as the split window until you hit the map app icon on the left

I had similar infotainment issues with my 2025 Lariat and it looked like it had a mind of its own until last week’s update and now it behaves normally. A code was logged and didn’t trip the check engine light but the code pointed to a software glitch. Free update check your system for this update.

On my 2025 XLT it seems the interface tees up to a random section each time I start the truck for the first time that day. Although I pretty much exclusively use Spotify through Carplay, yesterday it started tuned to an FM station i had NEVER tuned into in the truck before.

That reminds me of another haunting issue!

once - only once - i was adjusting the seat heat to a higher temp and the music source switched to AM. I didn't know AM was still a thing.
