Ever since I got my 24 Maverick XLT hybrid the Android auto has been hit or miss as to whether it connects or not. I've tried updating the cable, the software, checking phone settings...everything I could think of and still the issue persisted. Even used a wireless adapter plugged into the USB port that would still only connect sometimes. I did notice that most of the time when it disconnected it was the result of hitting a bump or something. And sometimes when it would not connect I could give it a Fonzie bump and it would connect. That tells me it's probably a loose connection and not a software issue.

I got around to messing with it the other day and jimmied out the square piece of plastic where the plugs are. Behind that are a plug for each port I made sure both were firmly plugged in, put it back together and voila two days of driving around with Android auto and has not disconnected once...I dare say I think it's fixed!

Any chance you can be more specific than "jimmied out the square"? do you have any pictures of how it's clipped in? I mean, we all know what it looks like when it's put together. ;)

Yeah I should have taken pictures while I had it apart I took out my pocket knife and carefully slid it from underneath and then from the left side there was a clip at one of those two spots I think the bottom.

All good, I was just talking a friendly jab at you. I went out in the garage and saw the slots on either side of the module that match up with the tabs in your latest pic. I pulled it out and reseated the plugs thinking it might help with some minor connection issues. Thanks for the idea!
