As I patiently (and melancholically) wait for my Maverick. I come up with random scenarios about what Ford is going to do next. So, I think Ford should do something like this for all of us order holders:

1) If your order is not yet scheduled before order banks open up you can move your 2023 order to be a 2024 with the new updated pricing but with a higher priority (1 or 2. Ford level priority, not dealer retail priority)

or

2) Keep your order as is for 2023 with the 2023 pricing, and gamble away in the allocation game. You can still submit a 2024 but under the same priority you had for 2023

What would you choose? I think I would do option 1. Like we say in Spanish “Más vale un pájaro en mano, que mil volando”. Roughly translates to “One bird in your hand is worth more than 1000 birds flying”

I'd propose an option C for those of us still waiting for our 22 rollover order to be scheduled:
Rollover 2023 order to 2024, keeping 2023 pricing and our private offer.

I don't disagree with your thoughts at all....But i doubt ford will do it. After the nightmare of MY22 order ford stated in the beginning there would be no roll overs to MY24 and no price protection, its starting over from scratch. But ya never know, as wish washie as thing seem to happen, anything possible to change

They should count how many hybrids are still waiting versus how many they can build by mid-October then have a random drawing of which ones will be built then cancel the rest. For MY24 don't build any hybrids until all ecos orders are built. That way they can stockpile the hybrid parts and build them so fast everyone will be thrilled. And then everyone will be happy.:unsure:(y)

Same I don’t think they’ll do anything. Just wanted to start a thread and hear what y’all are thinking. Watch Ford release a Bronco Sport hybrid and just make things worse

If I could change my model from a '23 XLT to a '24 Lariat, I would go for the 2024 model.

Ok here’s my take but I am scheduled for June build but if I hadn’t I would be first in line again and order a my24. I paid a $500 down payment (refundable) and I would tell the dealer, no down payment but if my my23 came in, I’d make good on the purchase of the my24 and would resell to them plus my $500 down payment. They could resell for whatever. OR trade the 23 in for the 24, either way it’s a win win.
