They jack my price up every year with "automatic" renewal and I have to call and threaten them to cancel. After saying NO a few times and telling them there are plenty of FREE programs to listen to, they finally come down from $285/year to $60/year. I've had Sirius many years and it's the same cat and mouse game each time.

I was told a lot of people do pay the full price because they don't know you can negotiate- I think that is over $20/month. I always get on chat a week before mine renews. This year they put me at about $8 with tax and that is supposed to be some kind of permanent rate- which I do not believe for a second.

I'm not in my truck that much but I listen on my phone app a lot- when I do my daily walk and when I am working around the house. The walk uses some data on my cell plan but around the house and yard I am on wifi. I think through the phone app I can get a lot more channels than I get in the truck. I never had satellite radio until 2023 but I do really enjoy it especially when working around the house and yard.

Once a year I play that cancel game. Been getting Sirius on two cars for $60 a year for years now.
And that also gives you the app so that I can stream to two other cars via carplay for free.

Just call and tell them you want to cancel, and you'll get it.
I agree, you must have a bit of patience to deal with what equates to be a used car salesperson. My last adventure with them netted me getting my Maverick and Mach E the basic music package for about $65 each for 1 year and paid in advance. I enjoy the variety of genres of music but I just don't drive as much as I used too.

Is that for each vehicle or both? Just asking so I know where I need to go next year.

I pay $10 a month for all the Sirius channels I want. Was a little pissed when they shut down Ozzy’s channel.
My life is full, I don’t have time or won’t take the time to cancel and get $5 a month.
I feel like I get my money’s worth.

I've never seen the benefit of Sirius in the day of bluetooth and phones. Can anyone help me justify it? I let mine expire because I literally never used it.

It's hard to justify it and if I didn't get the better price I would have cancelled. I have just two primary reasons I keep it. The main reason is the variety that is available and I listen too about 10 different channnels depending on my mood. The second is if I work the system and get it down to $11 bucks for two vehicles, it is within my entertainment budget to do so. I do use thumb drives but I don't have nearly the amount of music in my computer as are available on Sirius.

Looks like it’s time to do the cancel shuffle! Thought I did good changing from $28 to $16 a month.

What I don’t like is the Maverick station selection screens. Can’t get the same stations that are on my phone. I often use Apple Car Play to listen to what I want.

$5/month is NOT their lowest price! Ask about "music only" which removes sports & talk, but only costs $2/month! I received multiple offers for that service.

That was the plan I had until I canceled Sirius/XM. The only way I get it in my Maverick through my phone. Good luck with that when cell service is very spotty in the area where I live. Instead of getting it off of satellite, you have to rely on cell service. BTW Sync 2.5 sucks in my XLT.

Call and get it lowered. Every year I have to renew, this year it is at $3.95 ea. per month for 2 cars. I really like it an so does wifey. The customer service is overseas, but they are friendly.
