The reason to get the hybrid was price and MPG, driving at speeds like that defeats the purpose
I'm averaging 36-38 mpg. For me long trips at that speed are once or twice a year, we use my wife's explorer for road trips. Did a 250 mile trip to Big Spring last week, average 28 MPG doing 90% highway at 85 MPH, but for my normal daily use its between 36-38 MPG. I have posted this in another tread to let others know. I am very happy with the truck and it still get double the MPG that my 03 Tundra gets at highway speeds.

LOL the explorer gets about the same MPG on the highway as the Mav. For us the combo of the two fits all our needs.

It's limited at 109mph.... Which is a shame. I'm sure the truck can do much better. It's still very responsive up to 109. My WRX had a 4 cylinder turbo and basically the same displacement. It would run at 160 all day long. It will be interesting to see what happens without the limiter on the Maverick.

Boy I'm getting to be an old man - I never go above 75 ish.. usually run at 70 on the highway... I'm turning into an old fat
Hey now........
I think I resemble that remark!!

Same as you though, I'm quite fine running a little under
the posted speed limit. Which seems to be a suggestion
more than anything. No one drives it anyway.

My Hybrid will easily go 90mph when I zone out and I look down at the speedometer and realize how fast I was going.

Will the Maverick hybrid be able to keep up that speed or higher without issues?
I have my Maverick Hybrid Lariat since November I made a cross country of about 6k miles drove from Columbus Ohio to Birmingham Alabama to Biloxi Mississippi to Dallas Texas back to Alabama then to Destin Florida and Back to Ohio in this trip I average 85 MPH truck cruise very effortless and 30 MPG , FYI make your own calculations do not believe on the truck computer that never goes below 34 so this being said today I just did Alabama to Mississippi and average 85 MHP and 25 MPG this time we had to reduce and go back to speed more times .
