I have a buddy who re-logos items for fun. He bought an awesome Swarovski spotting scope ($$$$) and put the logo from a cheap Tasco on it to mess with his bird-watching buddies. He also put an authentic BMW logo on the outboard engine of his boat. It draws a lot of puzzled looks and questions at the boat launch.
