I discovered a pull tab in fender well.

While I was cleaning the truck yesterday, I noticed a small green plastic tab on the rear drivers side fender well near the shock. I pulled on it and the tab easily came forward and had extended to what appear to be a plastic string. I was afraid to pull more as I did not know what would get released. Anyone know what this is? THX

I believe it is the manual pressure release for the pressurized gas tank which will also cause the gas door to open. Check manual

This "pull tab" is not referenced in the user manual that I downloaded. It may be a "service only" item, but it's definitely not shown in the owner's manual.

I could have sworn I read about that green tab somewhere in the manual. I just did a search on the online manual "fuel door" and all I saw was this.

I believe it's only on Hybrids, releases the fuel door if electric button doesn't work.
