My hubby hasn't been real enthused about any modifications, but was happy about these two. I put the lettering on the tailgate, and put his original Maverick logo on the dash.

It was from his first car, and hopefully his last vehicle.

He's a bit pumped! Now I just have to plant a seed for the side marker lights.....

Yes, it's sticky tack, what you use on posters so as not to damage them. I didn't have time to take a toothpick and go around the edges to tidy them up. Hopefully it will stay when it gets hot inside. I really didn't know what else to use

Very creative! I'm surprised it didn't come with an adhesive backing.

Considering it's from the 70's, I don't imagine the sticky would have held up this long. Its from his first vehicle, the Maverick car

That's awesome he kept it after all these years and now has a maverick! I like how you took the initiative and I can imagine he's pumped about it... lucky man! If your sticky tack doesn't hold up, this 3m tape from amazon will. (Link below) You'd need to cut it thin but I think putting a small piece at either end and a larger piece under the logo would be suffice.

I like the retro badge idea, I've been kicking around a retro graphics idea but if I peel the stock off-road package graphics and do that I'll feel committed to keep it longer than my usual 2 or 3 years for late model cars.

Cool little projects like this push me in that direction though!

You do NOT want to use FunTack on a dashboard. When it gets warm/hot it exudes oils and will permanently stain the surface it is on.

Looks good, if you want to change the adhesion maybe just use a simple double sided foam tape instead, not VHB or anything fancy. And you can probably do a little on the first letter, last letter and the bull horn logo. Doubled sided foam tape flexes enough that it doesn't come off on bumps and is just normal adhesive.
