So far it’s stellar. Would recommend it for sure unless you need to travel anywhere. What mpg are you getting on the tonneau cover ?

I’m sure most of you can afford to spend $5k over Msrp but I’m just a peasant so every penny counts. I’d rather wait 5 years and drive my beater than to waste $5k on a truck. I can buy myself a few Tesla shares and within 5 years it would grow to a few more thousands. Can’t say the same for a truck. But what do I know.
You literally said you'd rather wait 5 years than pay 5k ADM and I kindly explained why that was dumb as rocks.I got mine on order. I’m sure it’ll be here in 5 years less than MSRP. Let’s hope Chapman will honor the price protection. So your math quiz is irrelevant.
Math pop quiz:
You can buy a 2022 truck that costs 30k MSRP and has a 5k ADM. Assuming a constant MSRP only adjusted for 8.5% inflation year over year, if you wait 5 years to buy your truck at MSRP in 2027 how much more will it cost to buy that same truck in 2027?
Extra Credit: What will your 2027 truck cost if you get it 10% under MSRP?
I don't know the answers because I don't have the answer key but the "hint" section suggests that the truck costs less in 2022 - even with ADM
What do you have against sunroof? My wife was at the local Ford dealer a couple of months ago looking for an escape or escort hybrid. She mentioned that I was planning to order a Maverick hybrid when ordering opened back up. Well the dealer didn't have the car she wanted so the salesman took her phone number.
Two days ago he called to tell her that a Maverick had come in and the person that ordered it was in trouble with his wife and might have to back out. (He had purchased a new Ranger a few months ago). We scooted down, glanced at the Pickup, read the green window sticker and left a deposit in case the buyer backed out.
Next morning the salesman called and said the person that had ordered the Maverick last July backed out and we were 1st in line!!!!. We are now the proud owners of a 2022 Maverick Hybrid Lariat with the Luxury Package and Co-Pilot (and a stupid sunroof) in Hot Pepper Red!
Somehow I feel like I won Unicorn lottery.
And depending upon your current daily driver/commute length... that $5k might be saved in fuel in less time than waiting for 2023 ordering and build time. Not to mention all your points above. You literally said you'd rather wait 5 years than pay 5k ADM and I kindly explained why that was dumb as rocks.
That fact that you already ordered a truck is actually the irrelevant thing that no one gives a squat about, not my math quiz.
That's my thought. If Op paid under 30k- the msrp on the old price list is 29,866 or so. Lariat 25,490.00, Lariat Lux 3106.00, sunroof 795.00, HPR 495.00. I must be missing something.

I was even luckier. I went to Ford looking for a used truck. Salesman got text message his Maverick sale fell through. Ask me if I might be interested in a Maverick. What's that? That PU over there, in Area 51. Sure went in made deal. Got a couple of bucks knocked off due to the company I work for provides security ( Cat watch at night ). Went home with Maverick. Not knowing anything about wait times and other crap. My son said I stole the truck? Steal from a dealer? Anyways as happy a pig in well what Bess Truman called fertilizer! I have a habit of scrambling numbers. I am so bat at it that I should work for the IRS. I paid 5k over $33875. Pricey yes. But as I have stated before No Ordering, No waiting, no missed delivery dates but a 12.8% penalty
5K, But I didn't have to wait over a year for a pickup and I didn't want my wifes choice of an Accord. She is thrilled with the Maverick. So what is it worth to you to not wait a year plus to get your new ride?
