Here's another possible option. Lug nuts with outside threads over which you screw on plastic caps.

14x1.5 lug nuts
Screw on plastic caps

My Fiero uses this type of lug nuts. On the outside it is a nice looking "lug nut", but underneath it is just a hardened, one-piece open nut. Will these seat on your wheels? I don't know. Buy them and try them. You might like them. If not or if they don't fit/seat; return them. Easy peasy.

Ford just released a set of the 18" Maverick BAP wheels that they are marketing for Bronco Sport:

https://performanceparts.ford.com/part/M-1007K-S187BSGB

It really stands to reason that if the wheels you got fit both a Bronco Sport and Maverick and Ford is marketing wheels that fit both, that they truly are interchangeable. Using the factory/factory style lugs should be a non-issue.
So, I just picked up a set of these glossy back BAP wheels, marketed for the Bronco Sport. Surprisingly, the clearance hole for the studs is smaller than the Maverick matte finish version (.610" vs .680") , so they are sized for the BS 12mm studs, but still fit over the Maverick 14mm (.550") studs.

Thanks for coming back and updating. I'm not saying you are wrong, because companies sometimes do crazy things, but I would think that a difference of 0.07" might just be a manufacturing tolerance, or difference in paint - assuming the same tool and same person measured both wheels so they are as consistent as possible. I find it extremely hard to believe that Ford would have the exact same wheel produced with lug holes that are purposely 0.07" different, especially if they fit both vehicles. Seems like they would have made the Mavericks wheels the same and saved themselves untold amounts of money producing two different wheels. But again, I don't really know, I'm just trying to apply logic to Ford.

Side note - can you post pics? Would like to see how glossy looks compared to Matte on these trucks.

Will do, they are getting mounted on Monday.

FWIW, I spent 45 years in & out of the moldmaking trade. .070" is a MILE to me. If you would, show me where the "glossy" wheel is marketed to the Maverick crowd by Ford.

Never claimed that the wheel is marketed to Maverick and I am not doubting your ability to measure. But for a company that shares as many parts as possible between trim levels, models, platforms, etc., does it really make sense that they would produce two of the exact same wheel with different lug hole diameters, given that either wheel fits either vehicle? Or, is it more likely that it's tolerance, paint thickness, how worn the machine tool was that day, how the guy who finished the wheel was feeling that day, etc.? Or, maybe just two different guys measuring wheels get slightly different measurements? Again, no doubt that it's possible, I just find much more likely that they are the same wheel.

Looking forward to pics.

Looks good! I think I like them more than the matte finish.
