I'd always been curious if that 10% line on Power Meter before ICE kicked in, was based on traction motor torque and RPM, or what the battery is supplying for power.

Because after much searching I have given up finding a PID for horsepower - I think the ScanGauges must calculate that live from something.
Just as that Power Meter seems to.
Or the PCM isn't putting the figure into a normal PID location.

(I just realized I'll need to get some figures for like 20% and see if indeed engine Tq & RPM are used.)

Discovered the Forscan Lite allows stopping a display/log session, and replaying any part of it - I thought you had to download the file and have fun searching.
So now after hitting a certain benchmark (dial on 10% & elec), I could hit stop and just wait until I had time to replay back a few seconds.

Finding the figures at the 10% needle position best I could, which isn't hard. Generator motor has neg rpm matching Traction motor rpm (by about 25) during normal elec usage, but quickly changes as engine is about to spin up, and RPMs for it shows up.

So had 3 sessions I did that. HVB always above 40% SOC, so no problem but my foot trying to go slow up to 10% power.
Took the highest tq/rpm record while it was still valid for all figures, so may have been going over 10% slightly. (yes showing my math)

5.6 mph starting up hill slowly, Normal mode.
Traction Tq 101.2 x 802 RPM / 5252 = 15.5 HP
HVB 59.42 A x 225.32 V / 1000 = 13.4 kW = 18.0 HP

34.8 mph slight incline, Normal mode.
Traction Tq 21.2 x 4295 RPM / 5252 = 17.3 HP
HVB 67.10 A x 208.59 V / 1000 = 14.0 kW = 18.8 HP

49.7 mph level slight decline, Eco mode.
Traction Tq 16.3 x 6156 RPM = 5252 = 19.1 HP
HVB 75.50 A x 206.84 V / 1000 = 15.62 kW = 20.95 HP

So mighty close in each case, and unknown if that data was right at moment of dial at 10%.
Hmmm, might have to search the IPC PIDS for needle location if such exists.

Anyway, thought it was interesting, and it appears perhaps the A & V are used to calc HP for that up to 19.1 at the 10% of gauge.

I'll be back with some 20% readings. (but bike ride is focus tonight)
