I have a very early hybrid build, and it's been completely trouble free for 19 months and 11000 miles. I've left it sitting for a couple of weeks on several occasions with no problems. The only "Deep Sleep" warning I've ever gotten is right after I bought it, when I spent half the day in and out of it reading the manual and fiddling with the settings. And of course that's what it's supposed to do. It consistently beats the EPA mileage numbers by a country mile, and it is by far the most satisfying vehicle purchase I have ever made. I highly recommend it!

Mine's a '23, so most of the first year issues are a non-issue. Had a deep sleep a couple of times, however, that's partially my fault, and probably similar to many others.

If you're around the truck with the remote after the truck has been active, but before the bulk of the electronics shut-down, which takes roughly 30 minutes or so, the electronics do not sleep. Yes the dash turns off, however, the radios, security, interior sensors, wifi, and gps remain hot. (Active can be simply unlock or locking the doors, which on a Lariat can occur if washing with the remote on your person). - Brother is a Ford master-tech, and in speaking, he's told me it takes 30 minutes for everything to shutdown, which is why you hear all the clicking & switching for a period of time if you & the remote are nearby. Many of the Deep Sleep issues, like mine, could potentially be due to the remote staying in communications range of the truck. I was spending 3-4 hours washing & detailing prior to each of the deep sleep messages, which doesn't occur when I don't have the remote on my person when doing so. Even the unlock turns off, or goes into low power, until it senses movement behind the handle, at which point it looks to communicate with the remote to unlock the door.

Deep Sleep occurs if the battery goes below roughly 80%, depending upon model & configuration, at which point, the vehicle may go into sleep to keep sufficient voltage to crank or handle startup duties.

Through all of 2022 and the 1st 6 months of 2023, Ford has built approximately 134,000 Mavericks. While it certainly sucks to be one of the owners of a troublesome Maverick, I'm thinking the "bad" ones compromise a very small percentage.
