Ok. Got my Maverick 2 weeks ago. Got informed today that my job has been eliminated. The company offered me another job that is 100% remote.

Now that I won't be driving an hour a day the truck will sit in the driveway probably all week. Is that OK for the hybrid battery? Or is that going to be a problem?

My guess is it would only get driven short distances on the weekend.

Any insight would be appreciated.
If you're going to drive the truck as infrequently as you plan to do, I would connect a battery tender to the jump/charge points under the hood on the driver's side, when not driving it. Doing so should increase the 12v battery lifetime and lower the chances of the truck going into deep sleep.

Just starting it but not driving it? How long to let it run? That doesn't deplete the 12 volt?
On the Hybrid, the 12v battery doesn't start the gasoline engine. All the 12v battery does when starting, is to close a relay to allow the HV battery to start it.

That's why the 12v battery is so small. A larger one isn't needed.

I WFH as well. Truck only gets driven on weekends most weeks. Never had an issue. 15 months and 8,000 miles. I used to drive 1500 miles a month and do not miss it. You will be fine.

Kinda in same position. Love the lariat put about 13,500 miles a year on it. 42mpg is nice but in itself doesn't justify purchase but deducting a different replacement keeps it agreeable. 2nd maverick does 110-120miles/month. Thinking about street legal electric golf cart with solar roof and/or solar carport but pushes $25k. Be interesting to see what Hertz sells it's EV inventory for. Dollar Wise would be folding electric assist bicycle $500 at Costco 25 mile range. Get more batteries! Solar panels. 2 or three folded would fit under bed cover of maverick. Thinking sell the second maverick put half money split 3-4 ways into different investments make other half work on backup travel options. My brother makes 2-4k/month buying garage sale stuff and reselling. He has even bought entire garage sales. On a cold or football day he has bought the whole shooting match for 3-5 hundred. Once bought big honking ugly ring for $0.75. wound up being 22k gold. He can spot those things turning a corner four houses away. He works 5-6 hours two days a week. Garage sales plus 4/10's at reg job having too much fun at 76 to retire.

If the WI-FI isn't actually connected to the to a network, turn it off. WI-FI is a huge parasitic load when searching for a network.
