Anybody put 19's or 20's on thier Hybrid? What your mpg? I'm getting 34-35 on the stock XLT 17's. I know it's going to go down just want to know how much I can expect to lose.

Something wrong there. I would have the dealer check your hybrid system. I was getting 23 with the ecoboost.

I'm asking about 19 and 20 inch rims. Thank you for your response though.
Rims don't matter...you can get low pro tires to match the same size. What aspect ratio are you looking for?

Rim size does matter. Bigger wheels have more rolling mass. Overall diameter will be close. Thanks for your reply though.

Based on your opinion, do you think this same tire but OEM size would still lose MPGs? Maybe less than what you lost? I am new to trucks lol

if your diameter is close it all comes down to weight. as only you know which tires/wheels you're considering look up the tire weights and the wheel weights and compare. heavier will cost you mpg but the other thing is ride. short sidewalls equal rougher ride and possible pothole damage.

As the mass is moved further from the center the moment of inertia increases requiring more force to change speed. It can be mitigated somewhat with lighter tire and wheel, but the physics stays the same.

Bigger wheel less rubber...balance out. OP must not be thinking much. It will not be enough to even be thinking about.

Exactly what im saying! You are correct. I just asked for feedback from someone that has actually changed thier wheels to a larger diameter. 19's or 20's. And what thier gas mileage is with them Lol.
