74° was a comfortable temperature in the EcoSport but is 'freezing' in the Maverick, I've been turning up the temps and run into a problem 84° is too warm and 82° is too cool and 83 is an odd number 🙄 . Perhaps I should switch the display to Celsius.

Mine seems okay as far as setting the temperature goes, but there is one thing about the air system I do NOT like. I want the air to blow towards my face, but when you angle the vent that direction, they shut off. What's up with that?

The sad thing is (I think) the number used is like a thermostat setting.

Kick on at this temperature.
Kick off at this temperature.

Mine can't give me 75 degree air.
It's full cold UNTIL the cabin sensor reaches 75 degrees.

Entry level truck. 🤷🏻‍♂️

When I turn the ac on I want it freezing cold. When I cool off, I turn the vents away to keep the truck cool.

Are you a lizard? lol. I like it on the warm side, but I'm never frozen out with the auto-climate set to 70 and fan speed 1.

Might want it a bit lower when it gets warm around here - it's only about 100° here now.

Once I've found a comfortable temperature with an automatic climate control I just set and forget.
When you get into a hot car the fan will run at slow speed for a few seconds until the evaporator has cooled and the warm air is expelled from the ducts. Then it will go to full cold until it reaches the set temperature.

First 100 degree day here, took extra block of driving to cool off truck — the horror. Did the windows cracked down during the day and still hot inside.
Did put it on max cold for my tiny dog on the front seat since she loves the blast of high speed air flow blowing her floppy ears back. And got terrible gas mileage on this round trip for supper drive thro fast food.

Thats they only downside to being over 100 hot, was improving my MPG numbers til today, on warmish low 90s it was great but now its got to cool off the hybrid batteries as well.
They say its not going to be as hot or dry this year as last due to El Neno. But a 100 first of June is common.

If you don't aim the vents quite as high they won't be "closed".

I've been driving Hondas and Toyotas for years and my Mav A/C system seems quirky to me but I think it works properly, it's just different. The temp. numbers are different and the fan speed thing is new to me.

Actually, I could say that about the whole truck. The windshield wiper controls go up instead of down, the rotary dial shift knob is its own special learning experience, it's a hybrid, and the list goes on. Apparently, I'm a lucky guy in that my truck works perfectly, no real faults exactly, but it goes about its business differently than I'm used to.
