How to turn off autolock doors?

Is there any way to stop the doors from locking every time i start to drive?

Leave it parked?

YES, a MODERN vehicles' structural integrity is dependent on the doors, being Closed..

it would matter on older cars with metal framed windows, too.

Although on further review, I suppose you mean staying rigid in general.

I'm thinking about collision damage in which the door latch gets damaged; the lock is one more thing keeping it in place, and the occupants inside.
