How to remove cubby

How do you remove the top panel on the inside of the cubby. There is a small rectangular clip that looks like it can slide. Do not want to force it and create more work. The screwdriver points to the panel

Well, that is not really the cubby. But it does look that is where the start button and lighter plug and such are.
The best to remove it is with a small crowbar plastic tool. The piece slides forward and can be a bit of a challenge the first time out, but the tool really helps!
