How to get VIN #?

Yep, exactly this - hopefully your dealer would be nice enough to proactively let you know when your VIN is assigned - they could also provide your build week at that point.

Depending on what you have ordered, you could very well already have an assigned build week - in particular an XLT or Lariat with 2.0/awd/tow seem to be the highest volume of scheduled builds at this point - some accessories added could constrain your order as well.

I was given my VIN and build week by Ford, I did not receive an email, they said the dealer should have this info too, the dealer said they have no way of getting that information.

Try contacting Ford customer service. They stopped giving out dates but if scheduled for production they will give you your VIN. Luckily my dealer has been good about keeping me up to date and checking in. Just contacted me to see if I wanted to order and accessories for when it arrives. I got the order confirmation email from Ford but never got the scheduling one - but my dealer contacted me with the schedule date and VIN.

Also, once you have your VIN, you can plug it in and track on Ford websites too.

Hybrid scheduling is up in the air right now. Maybe we will know more in a week or two. I ordered 6/14 and received scheduling on 8/12 for production 10/4. But Hybrid scheduling is on hold right now so nobody can answer your question.

I've been stopping in to see the dealer every week or two to check on things and see if they can help. We're all pleasant. Sometimes they show me their propriety screens to show me where I'm at in the que which means little but it makes me feel better. Still have NO idea when I'll see the damn thing but don't know what else to do.
I wonder how they feel about seeing me all the time. I'm hoping shit rolls uphill so that they would try to expedite me. I just don't know.

it was about 8 months for me from order until delivery.
the 39.7 mpg I am averaging makes it worth the wait
