Hopefully none of our builds get hit with chip problems but I won't be surprised if we do. Now to my question, if the builds go to plan with no stoppages, what is the window from off the assembly line to the dealer?
I think I read somewhere 30 days but I could just be combining multiple past readings since I jump through 2 Maverick forums and the Bronco Forums. My build date is the week of Oct. 4th so I am mentally preparing myself for the week of Nov. 8th.

Production started on 8/16 - just wait and see when those units arrive, I'm sure someone will be posting about it. With the state of the world we just don't know yet. You can speculate all day but it's all for naught. Shipping worldwide is having crazy issues, customs and borders are having crazy issues, factories are having crazy issues.

Chip shortage doesn't seem like it's going to affect The mav, at least not in the same way it did with the bronco. It's a different chip entirely if I recall, and someone here said they work for a company where Ford was purchasing 80% of their chip productions and they went into 3 months of mandatory overtime.

My build date is also the week of October 4th. My salesman and I are guessing the week before Thanksgiving but hoping it might be the week before that. I'm in NC. I would guess the week before that for a California delivery.

@Big_T Another NC resident with a build week of 10/04 here. Our trucks will probably ride together, lol.

Assuming all is well, 3-6 weeks. Seems like many have received their Bronco Sport in 3-4 weeks. Personally, I’m hoping for first week in November.

@fordvideoguy has said in many of his videos to expect six weeks, even though it could be shorter

I am in SC so all of our trucks might be riding together lol just trying to plan out my money since I dont have a car payment atm and stacking up money for my down payment along with a surgery next year. It is all speculation but damn do I miss having my own car. I drive my wifes Bronco Sport some days but mostly ride my motorcycle to work.

I've read literally thousands of posts on here, but I don't think that production date is for retail trucks. IIRC, there was to a be a test build of ~200 trucks first in August, then if OKTB acheived actual PRODUCTION for retail (then stock) vehicles would begin mid-September. Someone can correct me if I'm wrong on that.

At new vehicle launch, all vehicles with early builds are held at the plant until quality checks are completed. They are released from the plant at Okay to Buy. They are then shipped to dealers. This process can vary greatly depending on the distance and method of transportation.

Once your vehicle is produced, you should receive an email from Ford (if you received one when ordered, scheduled for production). When shipped you should be provided an email an ETA.

Your vehicle order is one of the early orders for the 2022 Maverick Lariat, and because we are building this vehicle just for you, we wanted to share a bit more on our production process as it may impact your delivery time. As part of the quality assurance process at Ford Motor Company, customer orders are only built when all quality checks have been met. This process may lead to a longer wait time for your vehicle to be built, but is designed to help ensure your satisfaction. Throughout the production process, we will keep you updated on the status of your order. You will receive email notifications when your vehicle is:

Scheduled for Production – all necessary parts are secured, and your order has been placed in the production schedule.

Built – your vehicle has been built, and we will let you know of the estimated arrival date at your dealership.

Shipped – your vehicle has been shipped, is on its way to your dealership, and we’ll include the latest estimated arrival date.

Incorrect. Production of retail orders (dealer stock or customer ordered) started last week. OKTB is when those produced vehicles are shipped from the plant to dealers.

Test building of trucks has been happening for months. That's where all these "Training" and show vehicles come from.

One of my friends ordered the Bronco Sport. It took 5.5 weeks to arrive after the build date.
