For those that have received their Maverick or got word of it being scheduled, how did you FIRST find out in was scheduled? Was it a call or message from your dealer? Were you checking the Ford dashboard website? Did you receive a Thursday email from Ford? I assume most were from Ford emails but I was just curious that when my day comes:) I will be ready!
haven't heard a word from Ford, salesman called and told me I had a build date

email from Ford, 6 months after switching to the EB in order to up the odds of getting built. Added the SIBL/cargo rack discount package when it was announced here, continued to stayed unscheduled until the most recent round of announcements.


Dealer had no clue about the package deal but did just have 2 XLT Hybrids get scheduled. Grrr... Nor did they know I could swap engines back in December.

NADA from my 'dealer.' Dealer is elusive as Big Foot . Email from Ford. Have sent several emails to my dealer and no response.
Well there were the crickets,

Dealer gave me a call that hey received some type of communication from Ford and I received an email update from Ford a day or two later.

I never received any Ford emails. I gave the dealer my email but my impression was that it was their policy to not sign customers up for these automated emails and assumed themselves to be the primary source of notification to the customer.

Regardless, I followed MTC to understand the broad status of things. Late April I decided to email/call my sales rep to get a better idea on where my order was in line versus how much allocation they had. If I was #25 in line and they were only getting 10 Mavericks I needed to know that and I knew this dealer wasn't going to volunteer that information. I feared I was wasting my time and my current vehicle was limping along.

When my sales rep finally called me back it was good news. Even to HIS shock my Maverick was just scheduled for build. He simply said he would next call me a week after the build date to discuss next details.

While its funny that I pushed for a status at the same time I got a build date, upon further investigation I learned that when I got the news my order had already been scheduled for over a week. The sales rep wasn't aware, wasn't checking, and I'm unsure without my prompting when exactly he would have noticed and said anything to me. Because I wanted more insight going forward I pressed to then get the VIN so I could watch the tracker. He didn't offer that. I had to pursue it myself.

I'm sure for decades custom orders worked like this. You ordered, you waited for a call, and it reliably arrived. But through MTC we understand the system is broken, a bit of a lottery, and sitting back expecting to get what you ordered is no longer a thing. I think my dealer is working under the old laid back paradigm.

Maybe those automated emails are joke. Maybe the tracker is 50% reliable. Maybe your sales rep is only 50% reliable. At the end of the day your experience will vary, but being your own active advocate is the best thing you can do. Good for you for asking questions. But know that what others experience is in no way guaranteed to be your experience. But keep asking questions anyway.

I got the emails from Ford and their dates were right on the money. For my pickup date they of course gave me a range.
