New member, first post, so hope I get it right...

XLT FX4 4KT Ordered Oct 27th, entered production April 8th, delivered Jun 22. Never had a chance to test drive a Maverick or see HPR in person other than on a Ranger.

The truck and color has exceeded all expectations. Haven't towed yet. Besides the delays, good job Ford Motor Company. I'm not brand loyal and have owned many brands. They all hit and miss the mark depending on the model.

The fit and finish, handling, and performance are what really surprised me. I have to disagree with some of the reviews. Not a lot of road noise with Cooper Discoverer tires. However, there was more noise with the Perellis.

4 adults were comfortable for hours on a trip to Crater Lake. Even the stock stereo sounds great IF playing music through my Galaxy phone.

It was the pics posted here that helped me endure the wait. The little truck isn't particularly photogenic. Generally, its hard to get pics that show how good it looks in person. But I want to return the favor as best I can. So here's some pics after using Turtle Wax Hybrid Solutions.

Added Rough Country tonneau (fits good btw), RokBloks flaps, LineX spray in, and Cooper Discoverer at3 4s 245/65 17

Photographed just prior to our camping trip to the Upper Peninsula of Michigan. We loaded all of our camping gear along with lots of firewood and experienced lots of cross winds during our trip. We still averaged about 27 mpg and the truck handled the camper like a champ! Needless to say, we’re thrilled with our truck!

Picked up my HPR XLT EB AWD a few days ago.
CP360, hitch/4pin, spray-in liner. I love the power delivery from this little motor. All around satisfied with this thing.
Picked it up in Seattle, grabbed a few snacks and drove the ALCAN back to Alaska. Figured it'd be a hell of a break-in. Slept in it for 3 nights (not advisable). Took a baseball size rock to the windshield from a passing 18-wheeler in the Yukon territory. Could have been way worse so just happy to have it home

Ordered a Hot Pepper Red Lariat today..... The wife was very against a semi orange paint color (because she is a Texas Aggie) but luckily for me she had a dream that my only regret in life is I didn't get the color I wanted

Whatever it takes I guess

Hopefully I'll still want this color 6 months from now, lol
Wow that post was a while ago
Should be any day now
Can’t wait to post pics of my own HPR

Yes, yes, I know. "Beauty is in the eye fo the beholder" and "Different strokes for different folks." Also, I admit my bias.
But, I'll just say it again, out loud, and without reservation: Hot Pepper Red is the coolest, most eye-catching, most chameleon-like color Ford offers in the Maverick. Never boring or overlooked in a crowd of cars, and it seems to change hue with different angles and different light sources. It's the best!

Hi folks, went through about 10 pages of posts, beautiful trucks everyone!. I put in a pre-order with the local stealership for Alto Blue but now thinking that will be a pain to keep clean.

How is the HPR to keep clean? I’m not interested in washing my truck every few days :)

Also, those with Lariat, do you feel the interior goes ok with the HPR? We haven’t seen either in person, hard to come by in the North Bay Area, but my wife thinks the Lariat interior is neutral enough that the HPR won’t clash with it. How do you feel?

The HPR will show the dirt, but not nearly as bad as it would with a black or Alto Blue. I generally wash mine once a week. I’m in a dirty work environment so I have to work a bit harder to keep mine clean.

As for Lariat with HPR, I saw one in a showroom about a month before I bought mine. The dealer was holding it for a guy was wintering down in Florida. The owner gave the dealer permission to let people open the doors and show off the inside, but that was it.

That said, the HPR with Lariat trim looks very sharp IMO. The Alto Blue actually goes better with the Lariat trim than the other colors IMO, but is just as bad as black in keeping it clean.

Good luck with your decision!

It's not a silver color, so it shows some dust/dirt. I have owned over 35 cars in my life. Silver is by far the easiest to keep clean. But I did not like the look of the Mav in its grey/silvery hues so got the HPR (red being my fav color). I also like to keep all of my 5 vehicles looking nice, and do not find that I have to work any harder to do that with HPR. The most consistent compliment I get about the truck is how much folks like the color. And the second most often-offered compliment is the interior design and two-tone color. It "works" really well!

I went with gold pin striping and matching tailgate lettering. Also, I added special vanity plates to get the last laugh on my 3 nephews who all own full size pickups and who all teased me about my "cute little pickup".

New Member owning a 2022 Hot Pepper Red Maverick, Lariat!

Story: Went to test drive one a dealer's test-drive-only Maverick, since I planned on getting in on the next pre-order schedule. I was set on a Hybrid only, when I could put in an order. When I got there, someone had traded in their 2.0L EcoBoost (non-hybrid) Maverick, with only 10,000 miles on it, due to it not meeting their towing needs. I got the first chance to purchase it (some over MSRP, not happy with it, but not the end of the world either), and decided to go with it. I could wait forever to get a fulfilled order with exactly what I want, or I could enjoy a Maverick right now, still put in an order later, and trade it in at that point.

Pros: AWD, and the MPG really isn't that bad. Especially since both the Hybrid and non-Hybrid get roughly the same MPG on the Highway. Hot Pepper Red looks excellent on this vehicle. If I made the decision to order an AWD Maverick, this vehicle was literally optioned out exactly how I would want it, except for missing the 4K Tow Package...

Cons: For it being AWD, it's unfortunate that the 4K Tow Package was not added to the vehicle. Also, it's not the Hybrid engine... but that's the ultimate choice depending on your needs: Get a Hybrid, FWD-only, and limited to 2,000 lbs towing, or get a non-Hybrid, AWD, WITH 4k Tow Package... Decisions are difficult, lots of pros and cons both ways.

Will I live with this one? -> AWD is attractive for the elements, and I honestly haven't had many towing needs so far. I'm loving this truck, and the MPG hasn't bothered me as of yet. I can change course if my needs change, but in the meantime, I'm enjoying the new truck, and outfitting it with several accessories recommended throughout the forums. I'll have to post some pics once I get done tweaking the truck.
