Welcome! I'm loving my 22 EB AWD 4K while anxiously awaiting a no option 23 XL hybrid. TONS of INFO here at the Maverick Truck Club!

I wanted a Hybrid but it was looking like another year of waiting. We don't drive the truck much (my trade-in was a 2005 with 91K miles) so the extra gas cost won't break the bank.

I figure we could trade it for a plug-in a few years down the road.

Probably other manufactures will offer similar trucks by then too.

All I can say is that you got a heck of a nice truck, whether Hybrid or Ecoboost. It's the "just right" size for everything I want to do. I test drove an Ecoboost, and almost bought it on the spot - it was THAT fun to drive. But I knew my wallet couldn't take the hit from the speeding tickets I would be likely to get... (Same reason I no longer drive sports cars... One ticket a year means you NEVER get out of insurance jail...) I'm loving my Maverick Hybrid, but the "hybrid" part is NOT the main driver of my enjoyment. I hope you enjoy your EB every bit as much!

Anyway, welcome to the Maverick Truck Club, and to Maverick ownership. This place can be a font of useful information, with (unfortunately) some not-so-helpful folks who just can't control their keyboards sprinkled it occasionally. Some people seem to find self-worth in putting others down or by trying to get a rise out of others... Just ignore them, and you can get a lot of value from participating here.
