[HenrysDad] - Shadow Black 2025 XL Hybrid AWD Build Thread

Just picked up my 2025 Ford Maverick XL a couple of weeks back. Wanted a Shadow Black Hybrid with pretty much every option I cared about, and there weren't many around, so I had to road-trip ~4 hours one way to snag it. Totally worth it, this thing checks all my boxes. Factory Options:

• Hybrid powertrain
• AWD
• 4K Tow Package
• Co-Pilot360
• Spray-In Bedliner
• All-Weather Floor Mats
• SecuriCode Keyless Entry Keypad

Also talked them into removing the dealer add-on for 3M Door Edge Guards and just giving them to me for free. On the warranty side, the dealer tried pushing a $3300 third-party extended plan. I told them no thanks—I want the genuine Ford PremiumCare 7yr/100k, at the same at-cost pricing GrangerFord.com lists. They matched it at $1900. Mods & Things I've Already Done:

• Fluid Film treatment on the undercarriage, tailgate, bed sides, etc. (rust protection for Michigan winters)
• Window tint: 20% on front windows, 5% on rear windows & windshield brow
• Mickey Thompson Baja Boss A/T tires in 245/65R17
• Ford tailgate dampener (makes closing so much smoother)
• Hybrid AWD OEM badge for an Escape hybrid (holding off on applying until warmer weather)
• Garmin Mini 3 dashcam (also waiting for some warmer days to install it)
• Custom Michigan plate on the way (all-black 1970s re-release style—should look killer on Shadow Black)
• Genuine Ford hitch cover

Super happy with how it's coming together so far. I'll attach some pics from delivery day to now in the thread. Recommendations for next mods?

Nice I have a 24 Lariat hybrid, love it.. Love the heated seats and mirrors. Added the hood struts and tailgate, also a rubber plug in the tailgate where the wires go in to keep dirt out

Great set up. Have exactly the same except in Space White and not bedliner. Added the Lund Hood protector to it and will do the same on my wife's. She already has a small chip on the hoof after 400 miles.
The XL is all I need and tried to keep it as simple as possible. Eventually will be pulling a small camping trailer - that why I invested in the 4k tow package.

Congrats on the new truck. FWIW, consider swapping to the magnetic mount, makes removing the camera from the windshield pretty easy. That snap-on ball can be a tight fit.
