I bought off the lot in October 2021, was unable to get hybrid yet (Ford was unable to sell until December 2021) & didn’t have time to order (before I knew they were hard to get my car sold quickly) and I found this shadow black XLT (love the interior blue Jean & orange)
Specs
2.0 Ecoboost awd w/FX4, rear slider, cp360, moonroof, optional wheels/tires, all weather mats, spray in bed liner & bed mat (stock pic @ dealership) just under $31k msrp.
Mods
Interior: added orange knobs (Etsy) and stitch on orange/black fake leather steering wheel cover (Amazon) and my Luigi in the cubby (McDonald’s toy). Console tray I won through the muslogy contest (thanks
)
Exterior: Ford/lund vent visors (I actually like the design) & Ford/truxedo soft roll up tonneau cover (I like the utility for use, but hate the noise of cover slap on the highway). I also had the front tow hooks painted (during deer accident bumper cover & grill) and added a red Moose Knuckle off-road shackle receiver in the rear, also the rear hitch cover for non hitch cut to fit. The red/black theme continues with red maverick raised/reflective lettering (Etsy) front/rear emblem overlays (Etsy) as well as ecobeast awd (Etsy) over a fusion ecoboost awd badge and Ford Performance windshield decal (eBay) & my nerd instinct had to add the “talk to me goose” (Etsy) because I’m a maverick geek too. I've pin striped it myself red/silver a few different ways that I've changed my mind (still thinking of new ways or changing to maverick grabber old style side stripes).
Suspension: Lowered on HR super sport spring kit (ride is better than I expected and love the look but wish it was a little lower)
Rims/wheels/tires: (Discount tire/sponsor here helped me special order) Strada Perfetto (gloss black/red candy milled color choice) 20” x 8.5” +40 offset (front pokes out slightly just about same as factory) with 245x50x20 General altimax rt45 all season tires, keeping my OEM wheel/tires for winter months.
*so it’s really just some stickers/lowering spring kit & wheels
not a whole lot, but I get tons of compliments & couldn’t be happier with my little truck.
There are some other pictures on different threads here too. I originally wanted a hybrid & black wasn’t my first choice, but I love the winter security is awesome & really peppy (beat a hemi ram
) and when it’s clean (usually always). I get so many people even @ work comments on how nice it looks & how clean I keep it, etc…
