So I’ve had the same issue in mine. I have an eco boost xl. Had it since thanksgiving. I noticed when I wear my sneakers and either a puffy coat or vest, I get a big shock leaving the truck. I still get shocked without the costs, just not as much. But when I wear my work boots, nothing. My boots are rated for electrical and shock hazards.

I'm going to play devil's advocate...

What proof do you have that this is electrons lost during the power generation phase of this vehicle?

Certain types of clothing material, flooring, or even my dog, can create static electricity. I'm not saying you're wrong, just looking for evidence this is caused by your vehicle, when others are saying it's not happening to them.
I have been driving for 43 years and have driven 100s of different cars and trucks. It has never happened before

I have experienced this for awhile, especially during dry winter months in Michigan. My wife's 2015 Focus with cloth seats and other older vehicles (cloth and vinyl) will give me a good static charge during a drive. Especially bad if I wear athletic wicking material or down jackets. Usually goes away once the humid summer weather comes.

I was slightly shocked when getting in and out of my hybrid for the first week or two of owning it. Humidity has been low here (an unusual event in and of itself), and the vehicle is brand new, so don't really think there is any problem. Just the weirdness of new and all.

Happens to me a lot. It's second battle now to hold metal on the door before I step out so I avoid the shock.

I drive my hybrid everyday (about 1,500 a month), every night I take off my jacket and shirt etc.. there is a strong static electricity cling on my back. I'm sure it has something to do with the batteries or electric motors. I'm thinking about putting a ground strap on the truck. It can't be good for you to have this electric charge everyday. I have never been shocked on exit like others. Has anyone else noticed this issue?
You can lightly brush an unscented (or scented if you wish) dryer sheet either on your coat, shirt, or seat itself. That should eliminate the static.
