2024 XLT Hybrid. When you have auto selected and the fan speed set with all 3 light s on, does it slow the fan down once your set temp is reached? If you have it on the highest speed and you turn your setpoint up to 80 deg or more the speed gets much higher than the 3rd light speed. Just wondering if it tampers down after reaching 80 deg.

In theory, yes, the "3 lights" is only the maximum potential speed; it does not have to necessarily operate at that level the entire time. The system is supposed to use only whatever level is necessary to reach your temperature setpoint, up to the limit set via the 1/2/3 switch.

One small caveat I have found is that at highway speeds, if you are not on recirc mode, the air pressure at the front of the truck blows through the HVAC system regardless of where you set the fan limit. I like fresh air, but it's a little annoying when all I can do is change the air temp or divert the vents.

Thanks. That may be my problem.... Just had my Mav in for oil change before a long drive over the holidays and complained about cold air coming in the dash vents once the car gets up to the temp you have set. None of the dash vents can be completely closed.. To the right is suppose to close, but they do not... Will have to try recirculate and see if that stops the cold air infiltration.

Just turn the air off and use the heated seats and steering wheel. They work amazingly well and don't knock 10mpg off trying to heat up a large space with hot water from keeping the engine running.

The heated seats & steering wheel don't use electricity? 🤔

Exactly
😂 and they don't keep my feet warm.😂
I didn't spending $20- $30,000 on a new daily driver hybrid truck getting 30 to 40 miles a gallon and be afraid of running the engine for heat because of getting 1-2 less MPG.🙄

Besides, trying to get my size 14s🦶 up on the steering wheel is not a pretty sight.🫣

Just use manual controls and don't futz with the automatic HVAC system that never works right anyway. And if you don't want air blowing on you, just hit the OFF button.
