Pre-heating and cooling the interior

I am probably lazy and should read the owners manual but, when I remote start the truck and depending on the temperature outside, the heated seat and steering wheel will be on when I start the truck. Is this a "feature" or is my truck broken?

Feature. If it is cold enough, my wife's 2020 Escape does the same.

Pull a fuse?

There might be a setting in the system, but I don't know off hand.

I live near Phx AZ; and for what it may be worth I have never felt the need to "pre-cool" my car. But I guess that is just me; or not. LOL

To be fair, if Ford does anything right it is air conditioning. I have a Saturn (GM product) that gets cool when it feels like it and my old Dodge was the same way. Every Ford I have ever been in will freeze you out in the middle of August.

Who writes these ? First it shows how to adjust the heated seat settings under Remote Start then states - Note: You cannot adjust the heated seat settings when you remotely start your vehicle..... isnt that what it just described ??
