Hawkstone Roof Rack / Crossbars - Has anyone purchased & installed it?

Just curious if anyone has successfully installed this specific roof rack from Hawkstone Group, available on Amazon.

If so, any issues with noise? Any issues with the install, paint chips etc?

Amazon says it's "compatible" with the Maverick, but we all know how that goes

I'm no expert, but I believe you need to have crossbars installed before anything else. The ones you want would be installed on top of the crossbars. Once the crossbars are installed, you can install a variety of accessories - bike racks, kayak holders, rooftop carrier racks, etc.

Fair enough. Since I'm gambling, I went with the cheapest one I could find. $65 on Amazon. It looks like it's going to work but I'm not done installing yet. I will create a new thread when it's installed since it's a different product and doesn't match the original post title.

I would love it one of the aftermarket companies came out with roof rails that bolted in place of the ditch molding that is currently there, like is found on the Bronco Sport. Much prefer to clamp the crossbars to a roof rail than to the painted bodyside that has to be done now on the Maverick

I purchased the Hawkstone roof rack for the Maverick from Amazon figuring it was worth a try for $150. Alas, it didn't even make it onto my truck. First red flag was when it took an extra week to deliver with multiple failures in tracking from Amazon. But the biggest reason that is being returned is that it neither matches the description or the photos from the listing. The rack that they sent is actually the generic rack for the Maverick that is listed on Amazon in multiple listings for around $125. Different tightening mechanism and different locking mechanism than what is shown. As well, the pads to protect from scratching are little more that a sheet of the thinnest foam with adhesive backing.

Save yourself the time and headache of having to return them once they are finally delivered.

I took the roof rack set-up off my 2012 Escape before I sent it to the salvage yard. The part is still in great shape. I haven't gotten my 2026 Maverick XLT Hybrid AWD delivered yet, but I!m pretty sure it will work and look great. Just that it will require drilling into a brand new paint job to place anchor bolts for this arrangement that makes me a little queasy.
If you can find this set-up on a 2008-2012 Escape LTD (chrome), you might want to give it a try.

I've looked at those 48" racks but I don't think they are wide enough for the clamps to grab the frame. If yours fits, let us know. I'm looking for something I can attach my Thule ski rack to without paying $600 and drilling the roof.

I’ve installed mine already and tested it with a kayak on top. I went with the Toros Roof Rack Pro 4 Series for the Ford Maverick. For the price, it actually worked pretty well.

I paid around $280, install was simple and there was no drilling involved at all. Took me about 40 minutes to get everything installed properly and lined up. Once it was on, it felt solid and secure. I’ve driven highway speeds with the kayak and didn’t have any issues.

Obviously it’s not a $600 Thule setup, but for the money, I’m pretty satisfied and would recommend it if you’re trying to avoid drilling and spending a lot.
