I know this isn't really taxing my '25 Lariat Hybrid with the tow package, but a couple days ago I got a load of heavy pressure-treated lumber at the local lumberyard for a home project. Obviously the 8' lumber wouldn't fit in the bed, but it was a piece of cake to raise the tailgate a bit and load all ~800 lbs into the back and strap down with a tie-down strap. May not look like 800 lbs, but those 4x4 pressure treated timbers are a lot heavier than they look. Driving the ~5 miles home I didn't notice any difference in handling, even with all that weight exclusively over the rear wheels. My reported mileage was just about identical to what it would have been without the weight in it (and it's mostly uphill).
