If equipped from the factory, they're hardwired. For reference:This triggered a question for me.
I have the factory installed one.
Is the factory installed one also battery op and at some point the battery will die? Or is the factory one wired?

mounted mine behind the rear windshield. Would have mounted it on the door pillar, but the buttons were oriented horizontally. Didn't wanna mount it to the paint, so this works just fine for what I need. I don't believe it'll interfere with a bed cover if I decide to get one.

IDK that looks like right where the Tonneau Cover rail/seal will attach. I suppose it can be removed later and relocated if needed.![]()

Same here. A bummer as the '23 I had on order had this and other features. However, the '23 was moved to a '24 order without these features.I see that it can be bought for $120, but my ford dealer wants $140 to unpeel the double sided tape and program it. Man!
