Adding Factory Keypad to B-pillar on XL?

Anyone added or been inside the door to see if the connector happens to be in the door for it on a XL? I know Ford makes the stick on battery one, but I have no desire for that one.

I tried to add the pillar key pad that is sold on Ford accessories. The dealer did not do the install because it was too short. I realized that there are two different part numbers for this part. I guess I ordered the one that did not fit on my XL (vnz6z-9920554-c). I gave up and decided not to try the other one. The picture shows that it is short on top.

That is the adhesive correct? I would think the size would be the same on all Mavericks?

Yes, that is the adhesive plate with the cutout for the keypad. The picture is the Ford dealer technician holding it up. He did not make any suggestions just that it did not fit.
