Dealer said"ford sends out COVP; and the dealer has no input in that process". Is this correct? When in the "process" should COVP come into play? What number should I call at Ford to verify if the dealer is full of crap?
UPDATE: I called Ford customer Service (800-392-3673); everything that the sales man told me was WRONG! ( go figure) I gave Ford my order code and my sales code; Customer Service confirmed that my 23MY maverick is unscheduled and will be canceled on 6/2 if a COVP is not filed and approved. Went to the Dealership and spoke with the "General Sales Manager" (the 2 people that handle Mav orders were out and will be back tomorrow; {of course}) When I spoke with Ford customer service I requested a copy of memo on this issue. Was told that was not possible. Then asked what was the date this memo was transmitted to dealers; was told today. Will update again tomorrow.
2nd Update: After 6 days with no info from the Dealer, spoke with "internet Sales Manager". He said I have an approved COVP dated 10-3-2022; but he would not provide a copy nor could I come and see it. "Customers are not allowed in his office". Ford customer service was no help as they told me to contact the dealer. Looks like I will know for sure on 6/2. Based upon the number of unscheduled Mav orders at the dealer, I have about a 15% chance (or less) of getting a 23MY Mav. (unless my order is actually canceled by Ford. WTF!!
