Once my Maverick comes in, one of the first purchases is a tonneau cover.
I've always had soft trifold covers on my trucks but am considering making the switch to a hard roll-up.
If love to hear some of your experiences with them. (And on the Maverick, even better!)
Thanks y'all (and Merry Christmas!)

We all know hard covers cost more than soft fold up covers. To many owners, that is the deciding factor.

You have experience with soft. I had experience with Hard on my Sport Trac that I really liked. Could walk on it, folded in half, locked, watertight, heavy but removable but now I don't want to spend that much, so I have a soft cover, that is light and easier to remove on my XLT. But maybe someday I will get hard cover again.

I do enjoy the lightness of the soft but hate how much room of the bed it still takes up of when folded. Which on the smaller bed, I figured it might be better to go hard roll up and give myself a few more inches...

Which soft fold did you get? Is it easy to remove completely when you wish?

The Gator SFX folding model only takes 3-5 minutes to remove and put in back seat. 2 tie downs and 2 safety, all with wing nuts so not tools. So no room in bed taken up.

Gator SFX tri fold. Super easy to remove with no tools. Lay on back seat so totally out of the way. I have never had a soft covers so like a convertible soft top going down the road the front does come up a little due to wind and flutter some. The sections by the tailgate tend to not do that much at all. I got it mainly on reviews and price.
