Green brake engaged light

I have an observation and a question. There is the green light, top center of control panel that comes on when truck is braked to a stop. I've had our truck for 18 months and this is the first time it has come on. What changed? I did a 9k service and a couple recall fixes (wipers, rear camera). I see how it works. When I come to a complete stop I can take my foot off the brake pedal. My question is this: When I take the foot off, and the green light is on, are the rear brake lights on or off?

I love autohold! Brake lights are on when activated.

Green light means AutoHold is on and yes, your brake lights are on in AutoHold.

One of my favorite features, it's always on. My problem is when I drive my wife's Hyundai, I sometimes forget it doesn't have it.
