Has anyone purchased from Granger Motors / Granger Ford in Granger Iowa?

I'm considering Granger and perhaps Long McArthur in Salina KS and wondering what experience those who did have had. (I believe Granger is cheaper).

I plan on flying in and driving home over the course of a week to NC if the savings warrant it. Thx.

I purchased my 22 Maverick from Granger in 12/21. It was the best car buying in my 50 years of buying cars! No body beats their prices and the customer service is top notch. No pressure sales is good way to describe Granger. I also found them to be honest in all their communication and business practices.

I have placed an order for a 25 Maverick with Granger and looking forward to doing business with them again. I highly recommend Granger Ford!!

Thats good to hear! Puts me back in the confort zone. I had a bit of concern after checking out the BBB ratings. I would hate to get up there and find the deal I thought I had did not exist.

There are members of MTC who have purchased from Granger too. You can do a search and get other opinions.

I'm doing the same thing you're considering. I ordered a 25 from Granger and it's supposed to be built this week. I almost did it with my F-150 in 2022 but I found a similar deal closer to home just before I signed. The letter Granger had me sign said I have 30 days to pick up the truck from the time they let me know it's ready. So I can find the best price for a 1-way flight from CLT and hopefully good weather back, and I've read they'll even pick you up at the Des Moines airport. At least right now, there's a flight that leaves here around 11 and gets there about 1 pm Central which should be plenty of time...the other thing I've read about Granger is they'll have you in and out with your truck in something like half an hour in most cases. Should be able to make it about halfway home the first day without pushing too hard (I just re-read that you're going to do the drive over a week so even easier for you!)

...I called them to get a quote on Maverick. Was told that there was only a few hundred dollars to play with on that vehicle, so it wouldn't be worth the drive from Montana...

how so? they saved me 2300 off my car, and its 200 additional off on dealership fees. your dealers must be super competitive.

You did really well. I am in the process of ordering an 2WD Hybrid XLT w/ 360 pkg and a few smaller options and from the quote I received it appears to be about $1200 less than an X plan quote I had......plus the $180 doc fee saves hundreds as well.

Wow, almost identical plans! My first concern was purchasing from Granger as you saw from my initial posting. Looks like from these responses Granger is the way to go. I'm in Concord (less than a mile from Concord Mills Mall) looking to head out from CLT as well. I had the same question and inquired as to how long one has to pick it up......looks like you need 3 to 4 weeks to get a decent airfare. 30 day notice would work out well. What airline is that flight on and roughly how much? That looks like an ideal time to leave and arrive. I did some quick checks and they were in the $400 range. Hopefully with a good lead time there is something out there around $250 or less without 3 stops I inquired about airport pickup and was told the shuttle runs until 5 pm .
My other request was to pick up after the snow/ice season. Thinking that maybe May. Given that figured I need to pursue an order now with the lead time on builds. Who are you dealing with at Granger?.....and do they require a deposit? I am not that far along yet.
Sounds like if yours is in build now maybe it will be at the Dealership in March maybe? Good luck! Let me know how the experience was as well as the trip home. I have never been up that way so was thinking of maybe staying in LeClare, Indianapolis, Cincinnati, Knoxville, and maybe Asheville. 4 hours of road time is about all I cam tolerate these days.

since they are a high volume dealer, if they are bad/was bad, we would hear a lot more negatives. they are churning out these orders. not just mavericks but mustangs etc. I think ive seen one bad review, and it was a paint defect in the vehicle itself. but yeah, mistakes happen. in that situation, it'll be ford repainting it wherever he is at.
