Fair enough. I understand why people like Fords. Kinda curious why you hate on Toyotas so much though. They both build fine cars and trucks.
Well I live on an island that is, no joke, 50% Toyotas and it just irks me. I think older ones (80s) are alright, but all the newer(90s and up) just look weird (especially the newest ones), all plasticy. The few that I have driven(couple generations of tacos, camrys, 1 corrolla, and a mid 2000s land cruiser) all had a tight seating position(6ft 225-300lb(different ages)). Alot of the controls buttons/handles/knobs didnt feel good to me. Usually flimsy. I will give them that they followed a simple rule not often followed is to not over-car your motor. The motors hold up because they are arent too powerful or expected to move too much vehicle around.

I swear, everything about this truck screams MAVERICK. They just changed the front end and the emblem on the tail gate.

I beg to differ with you.
This Chevy Mini truck existed long before the Maverick.
They are in a lot of countries. Just not the United States

Pre Pandemic I drove one in Mexico and just as the fisherman and construction workers there. I fell in love with it.
Even thou I’m on the Maverick waiting list. If GM would bing that mini truck to the States . I would buy one in a heartbeat

While it’s not “currently scheduled “for American markets they got one that could be ready quickly. 2 door or 4 could be coming to a dealership near you. As I said in another post, American automakers are not going to sit around and watch everyone waiting and searching and paying $3000 to $15,000 over sticker for a Maverick. We will see competition in the coming years. It’s always been like that throughout automotive history. We had little (compact) Rangers, s-10s, Toyotas, Dodges, and now they are making a return.

Toyota is coming too.

Don't like it all.... The Toyota isn't bad. Too futuristic for my taste ... A truck should look like a truck. That's just me

Btw the Mini truck is called the Tornado in Mexico and there are numerous Tornado clubs where they are all tricked out.
There are videos on YouTube.

GM broke my heart in 2019 when they said they had no plans at that time to bring it into the States.

Dodge also has a mini Ram Truck

Like I s aid the Tornado/Montana has existed for years.
This is going to be at least the third generation
This is just one of the clubs
I can see the same thing happening to the Maverick if supply’s ever catches up with demand

The upward sloped rear window makes it look sooo U G L Y

My 1998 Ford Ranger SuperCab had better usage behind the front seats and actually looked like a Truck.
