So I placed a deposit and order for a Maverick back on 8/5. I did it through a local dealership and did not do it through the Ford website in advance of going to the dealer. I ordered a hybrid, XLT trim. I have gone back and forth between Ford and the dealership on trying to see if I can get a realistic time frame on my order status. I have an order and customer number assigned, but now Ford says I need a vehicle VIN and the dealer says that I will know something from Ford before they will. I assume the VIN won't be issued until the vehicle is scheduled for production. So I am getting a little nervous since Ford can't really tell me anything - I do understand the hybrid production is pushed out to start in December. My question has anyone been successful in getting status info on their order? I am starting to get nervous as each month ticks on.
