Gathering the Parts in Anticipation - EcoBoost Engine Shield

Yeah, I know... Silly thread. Got a build week of 12/4 for my EcoBoost Maverick... So feel good about acquiring a few parts, especially those that will be a harder..

Obtained the EcoBoost Engine Shield with the hardware kit from a member. Brand new.. Looks great..

They are no longer available from Ford... So you have to get a pull from a junk yard or find one someone is hoarding or someone who bought it and no longer needs it... (I found a member here who had two Ford EcoBoost Shields and one Lincoln EcoBoost Shield.. he sold all three within a few days). Consensus is they lower the sewing machine by about 9-10 db...

I did the same thing so you are not alone..
Just be sure you dont re-order as I ended up with 2 sets of Mudflaps and 2 Hood Bug Shields!
Took 14 months to receive my '22 EB Lariat and that's my excuse for forgetting.

My truck went into production this week and a Window Sticker was produced today..
So the deluxe carpeted floor mats are ordered. These appear to fit like expensive weathertechs, but they are carpeted instead of rubber.

An inexpensive soft tri-fold has been ordered to prevent simple opportunist from lifting things out of the bed and to prevent fly-outs at highway speeds. (eventually will get an A.R.E. Cap for long trips that include my dogs, but couldn't spring the $3k cash for it this month).

Here I am always yanking that engine cover off mine and tossing it. All they do is trap heat in an engine that already doesn’t like it. Heat is one thing that always better to remove as much as possible.
That being said it can be beneficial for winter time as it also insulates during the day to hold heat between stops.
They looks good though.

Check the focus st and rs sites. Lots of people remove them to keep heat down.
