Saw that, and frankly I was surprised that it's not illegal for a dealer to require you to use their own financing or refuse cash. I'm really hoping that the 0% interest is still available when my truck is delivered, because I am happy to finance at that rate. Otherwise, I'll pay cash or finance through my credit union. Its a large dealer, so I assume they won't play as many financing games as the smaller ones??????
I won't have a trade-in to muddy the deal's waters either.
I noticed 0% for 36 months on the build and price on the Ford website. .9 if you want 48 months. I'll use someone else's money for 36 months.

Y’all do know that FORD is offer a zero % rate for 36 months right?

.9 for 48 and 1.9 for 60 also.
Can you lock this rate in when ordering? Or do you have to wait on delivery?

Thx

I'm planning to pay cash. Same thing as outside financing as far as the dealer is concerned.
we'll burn that bridge when we get there...
Don't tell them that though. When they ask if you will finance, just say you'll decide who to finance with depending on how good the finance offers are, even though you know you're paying cash. They make a lot of money from financing.

Some said they got a commitment from their dealers before delivery, mine is requiring delivery first.

I should be taking delivery in early Nov so here’s hoping things stay status quo til then.

Some years ago a Ford dealership advertised a $1000 rebate, but then told me I would only get it if I financed with them. They didn't care how much I financed and there was no prepayment penalty.

I financed $5000, waited 2 months to make sure everything was clear, then paid off the loan. Spent about $50 in interest, pocketed $1000 in rebate. Not perfect, but not bad.

Haha I work at a dealership and let me tell you this kind of attitude that leads to this is an ACROSS the board thing.

I called my Credit union when I ordered and they said their approvals are only good for 30 days but can be extended, I opted to not apply till I was closer to in production... Will start that process 2nd week of January since I am supposed to get built last week of January and I still don't have a window sticker so can't get a firm Xplan price which they said they get from the invoice.
