I'm probably getting a hard tri-fold off ebay. Aluminum is currently ~$335. FRP is closer to $360. Is FRP really better? They look the same. The aluminum sellers actually have slightly better reviews. Truck will be in Texas so hail is gonna happen. Thanks!

In my experience aluminum will dent, easily. FRP will likely be more resistant.

The aluminum used in tonneau’s in that price range will generally use thinner panels and I can tell you from experience that they can dent more easily than the more expensive ones. They are a good choice and a good value but you have to be a little careful with them, but there isn’t much you can do to protect from hail. Expect to see some dents in a strong hailstorm.
