I've mentioned this before and even saw a thread for it not too long after the Maverick first came out. So, the reason I'm posting about it again is to get some new, more relevant insight from anyone who may be experiencing this to this day or even on the 25 refreshes.
Ever since last year, I've been experiencing a front suspension clunk at low speeds. It does it when I pull into a parking spot, pulling in the driveway, turning into a spot or just before putting it in park. I know I'm not the only one experiencing this since it was a well-known (probably still well-known) issue. I want to say it's related to the infamous CV axle issue in which some had to have them replaced under warranty.
I did bring this to my dealer's attention at my last service visit back in April but, of course, they can't replicate it, even though I know it's there. I'm reminded of it everyday. It's one of those cases of an owl-eared owner who knows something's wrong but when demonstrated to a mechanic, it either doesn't do it or it does but it's downplayed by them claiming it's normal.
I'll mention it again at my next service visit this September but I'm afraid they're gonna say the same thing. I'm not sure what to do if that's the case. Thankfully, it doesn't affect driveability but I'm afraid of eventual catastrophic failure if left unattended. Is anyone else experiencing this? Whether it be an older Maverick or even a refreshed one? I highly doubt the suspension has changed for 25 since it's mostly cosmetic and software.
